This presentation will introduce the fundamental concepts from these new standards including: What is an SIS? What is the “Safety Lifecycle (SLC)?” How can the steps of the SLC be cost effectively implemented? How is the need for a safety system expressed? What are the fundamental design issues for an SIS? What must be done to justify equipment used in an SIS? What are the advantages of using safety certified equipment? What are the requirements for SIS operations and maintenance?
Dr. William Goble, CFSE will be our presenter. Dr. Goble is currently Managing Partner and Co-founder of exida, a company that does consulting, training and 61508 certification for safety critical and high availability systems.
